Join WLF members for a morning on the trail!

Meet at the Cross Hike trailhead at 9:30 AM for a refreshing and energizing group hike. The Gabby Hayes trail does not have a specific street address, but the trailhead is located at Cahuilla Hills Park, accessed from Edgehill Drive in Palm Desert. To get there, take Highway 74, turn right on Pitahaya Street, and then left on Edgehill Drive, where you can find parking near the tennis courts.  

Enjoy the beauty of the desert, elevate your heart rate, and strengthen connections with other members. This is a moderately challenging hike with incredible views—come ready for adventure!

*Get to know this 2.0-mile loop trail near Palm Desert, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 57 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You’ll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren’t allowed on this trail.
