Young Women Leaders Program

Young Women Leaders is an innovative outreach program that provides leadership training and one-to-one professional mentoring for female high school students at schools throughout the Coachella Valley.

The goal of the YWL program is to guide local young women into roles of leadership and success, as they prepare for college, business and life. Seniors who successfully complete the educational, community outreach, and one-to-one professional mentoring at their mentor’s worksite are eligible for either a need-based or merit scholarship. Please see here for more information about the Scholarship Program.

The YWL educational program consists of four mandatory educational sessions and are typically held on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Your Experience Matters! Women Leaders Forum (WLF) is proud to continue the One-to-One Career Mentoring Program for Young Women Leaders.

If you're a woman, you're a leader. If you believe in developing future leaders, you're a perfect mentor! We currently have over 60 young women seeking mentors!

Step 1: Become a WLF member ( annual fee is $100. If you are already a WLF member, go to Step 2.
Step 2: Apply to become a mentor
Step 3: Have fun sharing your experience as a mentor!

Successful completion of the educational workshops and the mentoring program not only prepares students for the future; it also establishes eligibility for seniors to apply for scholarships up to $5,000. Last year we awarded over $90,0000 in scholarships in partnership with OneFuture Coachella Valley to local qualifying students. "Hello, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Amanda Cardinal.
